Renovating an old residential property in Notun Bazar that was built without proper architectural guidelines has been a challenge. However, the greater challenge of the project was to accommodate a family within a tight footprint, ensure privacy, natural ventilation and basic requirements of home. From the street front, the home is protected with opaque brick walls and openings are provided from the living room with a balcony. The elevation of the building portrays a monolithic form that breaks the monotonous skyline and creates a contrast with the context.
